What's the difference between In-Stock versus Mill Direct Items?

An item that is in-stock is on the floor and available in our warehouse and will typically ship the same day if your order is received by 4pm ET on a business day. Commonwealth Cotton also specializes in non-stock item fulfillment (i.e. Mill Direct) directly from our mills. We have preferential relationships with American Apparel, Adams Headwear and Lee (for Lee's N-LINE items), where we are able to place orders "by the piece".   We can expedite drop-shipments directly to you or to your decorator.  (We will assess an additional $5 special handling fee for American Apparel wholesale orders. NOTE: The additional charge only applies to "wholesale trade" customer orders of less than $250.) Alternatively for American Apparel, we will reduce your freight costs if we bring in your order to Watertown, MA (from Los Angeles) on our weekly truck.  You need only pay for local freight from Massachusetts or may pick-up your goods in Watertown when they arrive. Our American Apparel orders consistently ship the same day for orders in by 1pm ET. Our weekly truck from American Apparel typically ships on Tuesdays. You will have your order in hand by the following Wednesday (via UPS Ground out of Watertown, MA) or you may pick-up your order in Watertown the following Tuesday afternoon.
